Sustainable Agri-Enterprise

Mushroom Cultivation

Mushroom cultivation offers a low-cost, high-return livelihood option for rural households, particularly women and youth. SUNDESH promotes mushroom cultivation as a sustainable agri-enterprise that can be adopted at the household level with minimal space and inputs.

Through hands-on training and practical demonstrations, participants learn simple cultivation techniques, basic infrastructure set-up, and hygiene practices to ensure quality produce. The initiative builds capacities for home-based income generation and diversification of rural livelihoods.

SUNDESH provides continued technical guidance and follow-up to strengthen adoption and supports scale-up based on outcomes and community demand.
