Health & Wellness Programme

Mobile OPD

Access to timely healthcare in interior villages remains limited due to distance, mobility
constraints, and shortage of medical facilities. To bridge this gap, Chunnilal Medical Trust along
with SUNDESH operates Mobile OPD services that bring doctors and essential medicines
directly to underserved communities

Launched in the mid-1990s, the Mobile OPD reaches interior villages on a regular schedule,
providing primary consultations, basic diagnostics, medicines, and health education. The
service focuses on early care, preventive health, and timely referrals, helping communities
address common ailments before they escalate.
Beyond curative care, the programme emphasizes preventive health and awareness,
strengthening health-seeking behaviour and improving community well-being. Over the years,
the Mobile OPD has become a trusted source of care for families with limited access to nearby
health facilities.
SUNDESH remains committed to expanding the reach and effectiveness of the Mobile OPD
through partnerships, innovation, and responsive service delivery to ensure healthcare reaches
the last mile.

“Healthcare on wheels for last-mile communities.”
