Menstrual Health & Hygiene (MHM)

Mahiney Ke Woh
5 Din

SUNDESH continues its commitment to menstrual health education through Mahiney Ke Woh Panch Din, engaging adolescent girls with accurate information, practical guidance, and dignity.
The programme addresses socio-cultural taboos around menstruation and builds confidence for safe menstrual practices

In the current phase, the campaign was implemented across 16 villages to mark Menstrual Hygiene Day, followed by ongoing monthly awareness sessions in schools and community spaces. The initiative promotes open dialogue, myth-busting, and sustainable menstrual practices through structured workshops and interactive discussions. The programme combines MHM awareness sessions, Q&A forums, distribution of biodegradable sanitary pads, and community engagement, building a supportive environment for adolescent girls. Local schools and community stakeholders are engaged to sustain awareness beyond campaign days.

“Breaking taboos. Building dignity.”
